Plant Court is a Boston Public Housing 3 building project which consists of 15 units per building, 45 in total. The first floor offers 8 handicap accessible units.

While the project involves the rehabilitation of an existing structure, as seen in these interior views of an apartment at Plant Court in Dorchester's Heath Street development, the result is nothing short of a complete transformation. These buildings, left vacant and deteriorating for years, had suffered extensive damage from precipitation and neglect.

In the process of gutting, re-configuring, and rehabilitating the apartment complex, we were able to turn 72 cramped, outdated 1940's era apartments into spacious, light-filled home environments. These fully-equipped, and richly-furnished residences attest to the quality of Vertec's work – and our ability to add extra value to every project we undertake.

Plant Court is the first public housing rehabilitation in the United States to be Energy Star Compliant.
